Summer is just around the corner, and weekend getaways to the family cabin, Chicago and Colorado are already on my mind.
The quintessential wardrobe for warm-weather getaways starts with the basics: a great fitting pair of jeans, a white T, a cardigan or blazer, a spectacular tote or cross-body handbag, a festive scarf to jazz things up, and comfy-chic shoes.
Relaxed, easy pieces provide the necessary style, but also the comfort you’ll need for a day at the beach and then a night on the town.
As I pack for my extended weekend getaway to Colorado next week, I have already pulled my Yoga Jeans, Lilla P T-shirts, an Onigo raffia tote, my favorite Brightly Twisted scarf, and All Black oxford shoes and All Black sandals.
Layering pieces are especially important, as it can get chilly at night in Colorado.
At the same, I am also adding my new Italian Inizio dresses to my suitcase to meet my dressy-casual fashion needs. My family and I plan to dine at one of the cafes at the historic Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, and I want to do so with GDB Girl pizzazz.
Raw Earth Wild Sky, too, has debuted a remarkably chic and easy-to-pack collection this spring to meet the needs of a traveling fashionista. I immediately fell in love, love, love with the side-ruched top with cowl neck that I will pair with my white Yoga Jeans.
And don’t forget the jewelry. My Anna Beck chandelier earrings will work with any of my vacay looks.
Colorado is simply gorgeous this time of year, and I will be sure to report on my getaway after I return to Ohio. In the meantime, take a virtual peek at the Broadmoor by visiting http://www.broadmoor.com/
